-On April 18,1775 at night the colonial protest leader Dr.Joseph Warren walked through Boston
-Dr.Joseph watched for any unusual activity from the British he did see troops marching out of the city
-At dawn the recoats move slowly to Lexington
-Along the road colonists hid behind trees and shot at the soldiers
-Both sides shot at each other after 8 men were killed -

-In 1775 May 10 there was a second Continental Congress meeting
-It includes great leaders
-The great leaders were John and Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee, and George Washington
-They were all delegates were at the first Continental Congress
-There were 7 new people at the second Continental Congress
-Benjamin Franklin one of the most respected men of all the colonies was the leader in Pennsylvania
-There was printed money
-John Hancock was president of the 2 Congress meeting -
Battle of Bunker Hill
-They faught on the Breeds Hill
-William Prescott did not want to fire until they saw whites in their eyes
-The British claimed victory from the Americans running out of ammunition
-The British learned that defeating the Americans wouldn't be easy to do
-The news spread about the battles the colonists face major decisions to join the rebels or remain loyal to Great Britain
-The Loyalists the people that didnt side with Great Britain did not think unfair taxes and laws as a rebellion -
Washington arrives pn outskirts of Boston with Continental troops
-They realized the men are disorganized and they need good discipline
-They needed weapons
-The congress found out that British troops in Canada planned to take over New York
