Boston Massacre
As before, the British and Colonist were still fightig. Torment was outraging. A mob of citizens of Boston came out and killed five British Soilders. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was based off of taxes. The America colonist dressed up as Mohawk Indians. They went to the Boston Harbor and dumped million of dolllars worth of tea. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
On April 19th, 1775 the Battle of Lexington and Concord was fought. The fighting was between the British and the Americans. The British heard about some stashed weapons that the Americans were hiding. The colonist found out that the British knew about the hidden weapons and went to retrieve them. This caused battle with the minutemen. The Americans claimed victory. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The Battle Of Bunker Hill took place on June 17 1775. It was located on the Charlestown Penninsula. This battle was over who had control over the hills. When Americans found out that the British were going to attack, they hurried and got thier armies ready. British won defeating the Americans. -
Battle of New York
The British started heading to the island that George Washington had his armies on. They bulit themselves up. When they went to attack, after Washington had tried to make plans that failed, and had an open fire. After George Washington supplies had gotten low and he had many injured, he withdrew. -
Declaration of Independence Signing
The Declaration of Indepences was a paper that had the Freedom for the Americans down on paper. The had 3 main committee members that wrote the Decloration, but many colonist helped decide what the Declaration would hold. -
Battle of Trenton
The Battle of Trenton was very different from many other battles. Army's would usally not fire in the winter months. George Washington needed victory, so he gathered up his armies and went out to fight. George Washington does not only win the battle, but he takes over 900 Hessians. -
Battle of Princeton
Battle of Prineton was about a week after the Americans had won the Battle of Trenton. This was to regain New Jersey. Once again the battle was being fought by the Americans and the British. The American had casually won this battle. -
Battle of Saratoga
The Battle of Saratoga was one of the turining points in the War. This was good for the Americans. During this batlle the British Plan for spliting the colonies in two had ended.The British Soldiers had surrendered. This is also a point when France offers to help support. Americans claim the victory of this battle. -
Valley Forge
Valley Forge was not a batlle and had nothing to do with battle. It was a treaty that was made by the Americans and the French allies. It stated that America was not going to be ruled by England. It also stated that nothing was going to happen until England recongized it. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was one of the last major involments in the Revolutionary War. Washington retreats and Closes on Cornwallis from several different directions. The French stop him by heading to sea. The Americans do win one of the last major involvements. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris finish the War with the British. This was a document that had been writen by the Americans to the British King. It declared war was officially over.
