Castellers de Vilafranca
The men and women of the Castellers de Vilafranca association make human towers or castels. It started on the 14th of September 1948. It continues to happen every once in a while but has no certain date every year. This happens in the tower of Vilafranca del Penedes in Spain. The association of human tower builders were founded in response to the increased interest of human tower building. -
La feria de abril
The fair lasts for 5 days from April 20 to 25. The Fair originally started at 1847. At this time the fair was just a livestock fair with two councillors. The holiday is celebrated by a fair called the Seville Spring Fair. Inside the fair there is a fiesta and a parade of carriages and riders that bring the party goers to the bullring. The bull fighters then meet the bull riders. Anyone can go celebrate at the fair and the men and women who do usually wear costumes. -
Moros y Cristianos Part 1
This festival takes place in Alcoy, Alicante Spain. It lasts from April 22-24. It actually is a bunch of little stands in which the festival takes place. The festival is a reenactment of battle scenes with soldiers from Marrakesh and Benimerenes preparing for war. Then two days later they fight, Moors vs. Christians.The reason they celebrate is for Saint George and anyone who wants to can join the celebration. The festival happens year round and there is no real starting date. -

The celebration itself is to commemarate the battle of Alcoy in 1275 in which St. George helped defeat the moorish forces. -
Pamplona
Pamplona is the city in which the running of the bulls happen. The running of the bulls is celebrated in an festival called San Fermin. Anyone can join in the celebration but the people who do are usually young men.The event is led by young men who try to make the bulls follow them with making the bulls hit the obstacles along the way. They lead them from the pen to the bullring where the bulls will get killed,The running of the bulls is celebrated through July 7-14.The history of it is unclear. -
La Tomatina
La Tomatina is a holiday where people throw tomatoes at each other. The main people who celebrate this holiday are young men. The holiday starts at the last wednesday of August which means the date baries from year to year. The holiday started in 1944 during a parade of gigantes y cabezudos. The holiday takes place in the town of Bunol, a town located in Valencia, Spain. They celebrate it because during a parade young men started throwing tomatoes at each other during the brawl.
