1982 Mark Dean Invented the IBM home computer. This was a large step in the Pc world as computers would now start to become smaller and more affordable. -
CDs
1983, James Russell invented the compact disk. Instead of dealing with wear and tear and unclear sound from cassette tapes, audio now had an upgrade. Music and later more information could be written on these disks and avoid problems seen with cassettes. -
Camcorder
Jerome Lemelson Invented the camcorder and changed home video. before the process was both long, risky, and expensive. Just for 2 minutes of recording at a time. The camcorder now allowed parents to record family events and videos much easier and cheaper. -
Mobile Phones
Motorolla released the first cell phone in 1984, it is around 4000 dollars and costs a dollar minute to use. To have a phone meant you were wealthy. As time passed technology advanced and more companies joined in the market prices fell and became much more common.
