    The Battle of Vincennes
    This Battle was with the Indians and British against the French at their fort in Vincennes. Communications about treaties and alliances got the tenisions going among the enemies. The British decided to take back the French fort in Vincennes for a second time with the help of Indians. With a small amount of French soldiers to defend the fort, the British and Indians kept the fort in their hands.

    The Americans had a goal to protect and preserve the town. When the British arrived, the Americans seemed to have the lead by confusing the British with their attacks. Soon after, the British gained the artilery needed and were able to defeat the Americans. This was a unique battle occuring in the hills and marshes with a high tide.

Town citizens, French troops, and Native Americans came to help the Americans where multiple attempts were made to get the British to surrender. Soon after a threat was made to storm the fort, the British surrendered and the Americans took the victory.

    This seige was an important battle in the end of the Revolutionary War. Washington strategically placed his troops but the British started their seige works. After the British troops surrounded the Americans, the final surrender occured on May 12, just over one month later.

    With a new British commander-in-chief, they marched down to South Carolina in attempt to take Charlestown. The Patriots attacked the British and the Patriots were greeted with a counter-attack. Some Americans retreated while others stayed to fight and eventually retreat. When the last of the Americans retreated, the British troops followed them for miles.

    The Americans used their multiple militias to their advantage and surrounded the British forces. Tories tried to fight back but many were killed in their attempt to do so. A classic battle occured and only a small group survived to escape.

    This battle was different from the others containing guerilla activity and other unrestrained fighting methods. Suprisingly, the British became unorganized and overwhelmed after constant attacks from the Americans. The British could not get it back together to win the battle.

    The British pushed the Americans into batte as it was the last chance to defeat them before the British invasion of Virginia. The Americans accepted the challenge and they formed an army at the courthouse. After the Britished learned of the forming American army, they rushed up to fight the Americans. The British won this battle.

    The Battle of Yorktown
    With the aid of the French, the two forces were able to surround the British and put the enemy under seige. The Americans and the French stormed two redoubts and took seized many weapons and other military supplies. The American and French forces could claim a victory after the British surrendered on October 19, 1781.
