  • Boston Massacre

    A night of craziness and arguments occur on this date. Citizens were so mad that they started a mob and it became out of hand. They went to where a group of soldiers were and made threats and many putdowns to them. One simple thought of attack caused everything to go wrong. A soldiers shot at the citizens and everyone started fighting! In the end 5 Boston men were shot and killed just because of a horrible mistake.
  • Boston Tea Party

    At the time many people were very angry at the British East India Company because there tea sold for lower prices which was passed by the government. People were so outraged by this they began to plan a way to rebel against it. So as the ships filled with tea came into the harbor people came together to start their plan. They were dressed as indians and came closer to the ships. They got on the ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the boston harbor.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    On the morning of April 19th british men met at a bridge facing many minutemen. It didn't take long before there were shots and the minutemen ran. The British went on their way to Concord. There they found that their weapons were stolen . So they retreated and were shot on there way home, many were killed.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    In this battle the British tried to take over both Bunker and Breed's hill. It took them many tries and it was hard to over power the militia . But on the third battle the militia ran out of gun powder and retreated. The colonists were fighting against the British for their land and freedom.
  • Battle of New York

    On this date in time Goerge Washington and William Howe fought against each other. There was a huge defeat for the americans and it made them think twice. This battle showed them it wasn't as easy as they thought.
  • Declaration of Independence Signing

    On this date in time America declared independence from Britian. Many famous people signed and made this offical by making the Declaration of Independence.
  • Battle of Trenton

    This battle was George Washingtons much needed victory. In this battle he took over 900 Hessian prisoners which was a very good comeback from his other battles.
  • Battle of Princeton

    This victory was only a week after the victory of Trenton. This gave the soldiers hope and courage to win another battle.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    This certain battle ended the plan to split the colonies in two. In the process of the battle 5,700 Britians surrendered. Americans proved that they could stand their ground and fight well.
  • Valley Forge

    It was the worst winter in years and the soldiers were chilled to the bone. But the weather conditions were not leader George Washingtons fault. Most of them did not have much clothing or food because of the harsh winter. Even though these times were rough General Von Stuebun stepped up and trained the american soldiers well.

  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    This treaty is what ended the war for the U.S.A and gave independence. Many men signed the treaty including Benjamin Franklin, John Jay and John Adams. But those are just some of the important people who were involved. There where nine articles in this document and they all were about different subjects. Such as boundaries, opening the Mississippi river, rights of Loyalists and many more. This treaty was great for everyone and set a peaceful mood for the time being.
