Jimmy Carter was a Democrat from Georgia. He narrowly beat Gerald Ford in the 1976 presidential election. His presidency ended following his landslide defeat in the 1980 presidential election to Ronald Reagan after one term in office. -

The "Dream Team" was the first time the US would have NBA stars on the team; such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley. They were known for beating who they played by an average of 44 points. They were on an 8 game winning streak. The team was put together by Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, and of course, Michael Jordan.
