Columbus "discovers" America
Christopher Columbus finally landed in the New World after a long journey. -
Jamestown Colony created
English settlers founded the Jamestown Colony, which is their first permanent settlement. -
Plymouth Colony created
Many people boarded the Mayflower to create a new colony, but when the ship got there many of the people had already died. The people who actually survived created the Plymouth Colony. -

On September 8,1664 the articles of capitulation were finally signed which made the transformation from New Amsterdam to New York official. -
William Penn creates Pennsylvania
On this day William Penn founded Pennsylvania (which is about 40,000 square miles of land) beneath the Great Seal, which means it is an authorized document by the United States. -

The Albany Congress met in Albany, New York from June 19 to July 11, 1754 to discuss their plan of action against some major problems faced by the colonists. These congressmen decided on a plan of action but then decided against it in the end. -
