Ford Model-T and Assembly Line
In 1908 Henry Ford created the Model-T and the assembly line in order to generate a large number of cars to sell for prices lower than ever before. -
Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
A deadly fire broke out and killed 146 factory workers. -
Treaty of Versailles
This was the treaty that ended WW1 but also was one of the main causes for WW2. -
Passage of the 19th Amendment
This finally gave women the right to vote. -
Beginning of Holocaust
Two-thirds of the Jews in Europe were killed in this awful event in Hitler's atempt to create the master race. -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
These were the first and only atomic bombs dropped. They were dropped on the 6th and 9th. -
Brown v. Board of Education
This case overtunred Plessey v. Ferguson, seperate but eaqul. -
Nixon's "Journey for Peace" in China
President Nixon spent a week in China trying to build relations with them. -
South Vietnam falling to North Vietnam
After the US pulled out in 1973, North Vietnam attacked and the South couldn't do much to fight back so the country became united under communism. -
Iranian Hostage Crisis
Around 300-500 Iranian students took 66 US citizens and diplomats hostage for 444 days. -
The Soviet Union Collapses (End of Cold War)
The USSR broke into 15 seperate countries and was no longer communist. -
Terroist Attack- 9/11
Four planes were hijakced and crashed into the two towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, PA. This led to the War on Terrorism.
