    Exposition 1- Background
    Milada and her family are jewish, but no one knows it. Ever since the Nazis came, 3 years ago, everything has been scarce in Czechoslavakia. Therefore, Milada and her family very much dislike Hitler and the Nazis, and are lucky that they havn't been discovered as jewish, yet.
  • Exposition 2- Setting

    Exposition 2- Setting
    Milada and the rest of her family at first lived in Lidice, Czechoslavakia, a country that was taken over by the Nazis 3 years ago.
  • Exposition 3- Characters

    *Milada- a clever girl that is interested in the stars of the night sky.
    *Terezie- Milada's best friend who had deep brown and curly hair.
    * Mama, Papa, Jaro, and Anechka- Milada's family that she loved so much.
    *Babushka- Milada's grandmother who dislikes Hitler very much.
    * Nazis- Workers for Hitler that took over Czechoslavakia and its people.
  • Rising Action- Conflict

    Rising Action- Conflict
    Milada was taken by the Nazis from her family and her home to a camp in Poland.
  • Rising Action 1

    The Nazi woman at the camp told Milada and the other girls that their families were killed in an Allied air raid, even though Milada knows that she was separated from her family by Nazis just like her.
  • Rising Action 2

    Milada and the other girls were given new names, and Milada's was Eva. Milada refused at this German name and then was beaten for not being obedient to the Nazi's orders.
  • Rising Action 3

    Rising Action 3
    Milada started to forget who she really was. The Nazis were starting to convice her that she was also a Nazi, but Babuchka reminds her, "through the stars", that her real name is Milada and that's who she will always be.
  • Rising Action 4

    Rising Action 4
    Milada started to become close to a girl at the camp named Liesel. They both at night would go to the church at the camp whenever the night guards weren't near. There they talked about their past lives and called eachother by their real names.
  • Rising Action 5

    Milada and the rest of the girls at the camp went out in the town, and a Polish lady spit on Milada, due to thinking she was a real Nazi. Fraulein Kruger beat the lady, and Milada is scared because she dosn't want to be a real Nazi. Plus, the lady reminded her of Babuchka.
  • Climax

    Climax
    Milada gets adoptedf by a german family and leaves the camp. She meets her new older sister, Elsbeth, her brother, Peter, and her mother and father, Hans and Trude. Milada dosn't know if she will ever reunite with her original family again.
  • Falling Action 1

    Falling Action 1
    Milada recieves a letter from Franziska. It was all about Franziska's family, but in the letter Milada noticed that she didn't sign her Czech name, Ruzha. Instead she signed Franziska. This told Milada that the Czech girl, Ruzha, was gone forever.
  • Falling Action 2

    Mutter, Milada's german mother, made a dress for Milada to wear to the party in honor of Milada's adoption. The dress was long and blue. Milada was so awed by the fact that someone would make something so lovely for her.
  • Falling Action 3

    Falling Action 3
    At Milada's adoption party, the house was full of tons of Nazi men with beautiful women. Her Mutter got a special award, because she now has 3 kids and is considered a good German citizen. Milada realized that she is very important to this family.
  • Falling Action 4

    When Milada and Elsbeth were in the woods playing, Milada heard someone singing in Czech language at a place called Ravensbruck Women's Prison Camp. That is where Vater, Milada's new father works.The women in the camp didn't look familiar when Milada saw them but she thought that her mama might be in the camp waiting for her.
  • Falling Action 5

    Falling Action 5
    War was becoming worse, and their cook and the rest of thier workers had to move away because they could no longer afford them. Vater and Peter had to move into hiding somewhere else because the Americans/Russians were looking for important Nazis like him. Mutter, Elsbeth and Milada went into the shelter to hide, also. Russian soilders had come and destroyed their home. They all felt completely unprotected.
  • Resolution 2

    Resolution 2
    A woman and a man from the International Red Cross came to the Werner house and rescued Milada from the Nazis in order to take her back to Czechozlavakia.
  • Resolution 1

    Resolution 1
    All of the planes and guns stopped and the three of them went upstairs in the house. They tried to repair and clean everything that the Russian soilders had destroyed.
  • Resolution 3

    Resolution 3
    Milada reunited with her mother and is now taking lessons to learn how to speak Czech again. She is struggling but she will try her hardest and will do whatever it takes. They havn't found Anechka, Milada's sister, yet but they still have hope. Papa and Jova died and Babichka died in the prison camp. Therefore it's just Milada and her mother but they still have eachother.
