Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins were the first astronauts on Apollo 11. 4 days later they safely landed on the moon. on july 20 1969 Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon. -

The doctor takes the womens egg and then mans sperm and mixes them together anf then puts them in a solution in a tube til they are fertilized. Once the egg is fertilized the doctor puts the egg into the mom to then develope the rest of the way. -

918 people were killed. This was the most deadly non-natural disaster in the U.S. This still remains the only time a U.S. congressman was killed in the line of duty. -

Oklahoma City Bombing
A 5,000 pound bomb was hid inside of a Ryder truck. The bomb exploded just outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. This bomb killed 168 people and caused massive damage. The people that were responsible for this bombing were home-grown terriorists. -

Dolly the sheep was the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell. This proved that adult cells can reprogram themselfs into new beings. -
Columbine Massacre
During one school day two senior boys at Columbine High school walked through the halls of their school and started shooting their peers. When the boys were all done they killed 12 students, 1 teacher, and themselves. They also left 21 more students injured. -
9/11
An islamic group called al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, most poeple know them as the twin towers though. a third plane hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. -
Girls held hostage for 10 years
3 girls were abducted by a man who offered them a ride and they all agreed. One of them was friends with his daughter and they were held captive for 10 years in ohio until they were finally found. -
Plane in Hudson
A plane took off and was only in the air for a few minutes when a flock of birds hit the plane knocking off both engines. The pilot had no other option than to land the plane so he landed it safely in the Hudson river and there were no deaths or injuries of the people on the plane. -
Gay Marriage
This law made it legal for someone to marry the same sex if they wish to. -
Tsunami in Asia
The Tsunami in Asia took place because of an earth quake. the earth quake measured 9.3 on a retar scale. Up to 275,000 people were killed during this Tsunami. 128,000 were found in Indonesia alone.
