    The 19-year-old Robert Steinhäuser shot and killed thirteen faculty members, two students and one police officer at the Gutenberg Gymnasium in Erfurt, Germany, before committing suicide. The gunman was armed with a pump-action shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol.

    Jokela High School – Finland
    The gunman, 18-year-old student Pekka-Eric Auvinen entered Jokela High School armed with a semi-automatic pistol. The perpetrator killed eight people and wounded one person with his .22 calibre pistol before shooting himself in the head.

    Albertville-Realschule – Germany
    17-year-old Tim Kretschmer started a shooting-spree at his former secondary school in Winnenden. Kretschmer killed 12 people at the school and three more during his attempt to escape, before shooting himself in the head. The gunman was armed with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which he had taken from his parents.

    The gunman, Wellington Oliveira, entered the Tasso da Silveria Municipal School armed with two revolvers. He killed twelve children, aged between twelve and fourteen, at the elementary school in Rio de Janeiro.
