CD
The CD was invented in 1979, allowing for a new way to listen and have a library of music. This was well before i-pods and smart phones, no one had bluetooth. If you wanted to listen to something other than a radio on the road you brought a CD case full of a selection of your favorite CD's. James Russell had a hand in the creation of the CD. The CD did not grow in popularity until the early 90's. -
Dial Up Internet
A way to have home internet through dial up came to households in 1992. Inventors Tom Truscott and Jim Ellis created a system that contributed to the creation of dial-up internet. Dial-up internet became popular quickly. -
T9 Text
With more technical mobile phones came an early form of texting called T9. An individual who used T9 texting used a standard phone key pad, clicking the number several times until the appropriate letter was selected. T9 texting became available in the mid 90's -
