Herb hurries home from work to be with his wife for the birth of their son Rodney. -
Rodney watches The Bigweld Show on TV and wants to go and meet Bigweld to show him his inventions in the big city. -
Rodney leaves on public transit to go to the big city and meets Fender Pinwheeler. -
Rodney arrives at Bigweld Industries and gets laughed at by Tim the gate guard. -
Rodney meets Aunt Fanny and a bunch of Fender's friends when he stays at Aunt Fanny's house for the night. After being rejected at Bigweld, Rodney feels defeated. -
Rodney and his new friends decide to meet Bigweld by crashing the Bigwled Ball. They turn it into a total scene. -
Rodney meets a Bigweld employee named Cappy at the Bigweld Ball and dances with her in a big dance scene. -
Rodney and his friends do not get to meet Bigweld because he isn't at the ball, and they get chased by security and by Ratchet, out of the ball. -
Ratchet and his evil devise a plan to take over Robot City by making all the robots buy upgrades. They no longer will make old robot parts making them obsolete and turning them into scrap. -
Rodney and his friends find Bigweld in his lab, but he isn't acting right and doesn't seem to want to help or even care about the obsolete robots. -
Rodney uses his skills to fix all of the robots that can't get parts, and everyone now knows who Rodney is and they celebrate him. But it doesn't fix the bigger problem of no parts being made. -
Fender exposes Ratchet's evil plan with his mother to scrap the city's old robots with the sweepers and make only upgrades. Bigweld comes back to help because he knows it's the right thing to do. -
Bigweld fires Ratchet for trying to ruin the company and make the old robots obsolete. Ratchet Hits Bigweld on the head causing him to go wonky, a giant chase ensues and Rodney fixes Bigweld from being wonky. -
Rodney, Bigweld, friends, and all the fixed robots from Robot City defeat Ratchet and Madame Gasket in a big fight scene. Ratchet loses his upgrades and Madame Gasket is thrown in a scrap furnace. -
Rodney returns home to a hero's welcome and gives his father the parts he needs to keep going. The whole town celebrates with a big music scene.
