    Japanese Invasion of Manchuria
    On this date, the Kwantung Army attack chinese soldiers in Manchuria. It is also know as the Manchurian incident. It was an attept by the Japanese Empire to gain control over the entire province. The bigger goal being able to take control of East Asia. The Japanese really had no Legitimet reason to do this, this only made more trouble to come, being a contributer to WWII.

    As a war vet Hitler became leader of the NSDAP. He failed to take over leader ship and he was imprisoned. When he got out, he began to win people over by speaking and eventually became chancellor, supposed to be temporary, but Hitler saw oppotunity and never stepped down. He got power crazy.

    The point of this was to get countries to participate and keep them from arming themselves and being lethal. They wanted to settle disputes through negotation instead of violence. Hitler pulls Germany out of this and begin to arm his country. making him more powerful and gives him the power to take over.

    The neutrality act was laws that were passed that were created to keep the United States out of foreign conflicts. This started out working well we stayed away from Germay but over time we slowly began to aid countries. Then after Pearl harbor that set the U.S. off and we broke the neutrality act.

    the war was brief and fought by the Empire of Ethiopia, and the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Italy. Italy wanted to expand and take the horn of Africa, for tehm to accomplish that they needed to take over Ethiopia. Ethiopia was annexed and combine to create the Italian East Africa. Ethiopia never lost or surrendered, the military just occupied Ethiopia.

    The Rome-Berlin Axis is an alliance made between Berlin, Germany and Rome. Adolf Hitler and benito Mussolini had a good relationship and decided to join together forming a strong alliance adn gaining even more power. this carried over intot eh war.

    After the Anschluss and the annexation of Austria, Germany wanted to take over Czechoslovakia. He was targeting Sudetenland , because he thought once he took them the rest would be powerless. This was right and they did take over, but at the stake of infuriating more countries. This didnt last long, the power of beign able to take over, before other countries started to step ina dn disagree.

    The Anschluss was basically the annexation of Austria to Germany. The Nazi party played a big role by going into Austria and "convincing" people to vote for the annexation. This was significant because, it started Hitler's "takeover" and try to acquire more land for Germany.

    The Munich Conference was a meeting of Russia, Germany, Britian, France, and Italy. They met to discuss what they should do, if anything, about Germany's agression in Czechoslovakia. The allies decided to put forth an act of appeasement, to where Germany could earase the boundaries of the Versailles Treaty without any Military action. This played a huge roll in WWII becuase this is when Hitler began his reign.

    The Spanish Civil War was a major conflict between the second spanish republic and the spanish confederation. The war devestated spain. The war increased international tensions, aiding in the road to WWII.

    Hitler had been preparing for war. One of his tactics was to form a Non-Agression Pact with the Soviets. This might not give them an allie but it would keep the Soviets from forming an alliance with anyone one else to work against Germany. This played a roll in the war because at this time Hitler was thinking war and planning wisely to give them the upper hand in whatever they faced.

    The Battle of Britain was a battle fought by air forces. It was a series of "air campaigns" the German's were engaged with the United Kingdom. The goal was for air superority. This was just another event that was encouraging other countries to snap at Germany.
