Xingxing (Stars) Exhibition was organized outside the National Gallery
First influential avant-garde group, displayed work on the fence outside the National Gallery without official permission and the exhibition was closed down by the police. The Stars' first official exhibition was held at Beihai Park. 163 works done by 23 nonprofessional artists were showed.
