  • Chinese Exclusion Act

    It was an act that prohibited Chinese immigrant workers to come into the US. It was in act for 10 years
  • Eugene V. Debs

    Eugene was involved in a successful Union that asked for higher wages against the great Northern Railway
  • Sinking of the Lusitania

    A German boat fired a torpedo at the Lusitania, killing 1,198 passengers and 128 were American.
  • Zimmerman Telegram

    The Zimmerman Telegram was meant to ally Germany and Mexico, and Germany said they would give Mexico some of America's land if they helped them in WW1
  • Sedition Act

    This act pretty much took away the first amendment rights of freedom of speech, making it illegal to publish false and/or bad talk the US government
  • 18th Amendment

    This amendment was to stop the selling of alcohol. It was the only amendment to be repealed, and while it was in effect, criminals were able to make a lot of money off selling the alcohol.
  • 19th Amendment

    This amendment allowed women the right to vote, and you cannot deny someone the right to vote based on sex.
  • Immigration Act of 1924

    This act limited the amount of immigrants that could come into the US, depending on how many US citizens there are at the time.
  • John Scopes - The Monkey Trial

    John Scopes was a young high-school teacher who broke the law by teaching students evolution and that humans are of animal decent.

    This amendment says when government officials terms will end and who will take over if the president happens to die while in office.
  • 21st Amendment

    This amendment is what replaced the 18th amendment, now allowing the consumption and selling of alcohol
