    The first time the British tried to capture Charleston was stopped by tides and Fort Multrie. The British did it the second time.

    Showed cooperation of the regular continental army and the irregular partisan forces. Important battle in South Carolina.

    The last battle of the war. The French helped George Washington by blockading the harbor. The British camped in Virgina and waited for a way to winter headquarters, but defeated because they were in the middle of American and French soldiers.
