SAES Opens at Pilgrim Lutheran Church
St. Andrew%u2019s Episcopal School opens in the basement of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, with nine part-time teachers, one box of chalk and one eraser per teacher, and a coffee can of petty cash. There are 40 students in 7th, 8th and 9th grades under the direction of Headmaster Jess Borg. -
SAES Begins at Clara Barton
A larger St. Andrew%u2019s begins the school year at the former Clara Barton Elementary School in Cabin John. -
SAES Relocates to No. Bethesda Jr. High

Jim Cantwell, Third Headmaster
The arrival of Jim Cantwell as third headmaster coincides with receipt of an eviction notice from Montgomery County. Trustees win an eight-year reprieve and begin to look for a location for a permanent campus for St. Andrew%u2019s. -
SAES, A 6-12 Grade
With the addition of a Sixth Grade class, St. Andrew%u2019s becomes a Grade 6-12 school. -
SAES Purchases Harker Prep School
St. Andrew%u2019s Episcopal School purchases the former Harker Preparatory School in Potomac, Maryland for a price of $3,850,000. -
SAES Moves to Potomac, MD
St. Andrew%u2019s celebrates its 20th anniversary and moves into its permanent home at 8804 Postoak Road, Potomac, Maryland, after a $5 million capital campaign. -

July 1, 2008 St. Andrew%u2019s and St. Francis Episcopal Day School of Potomac, Md merge to serve a total of 550 students in Preschool through Grade 12. -
