  • Nova Scotia and Newfoundland

    In 1749 Nova Scotia and Newfoundland were the most important Britsh areas. Halifax was the most important naval port at this time.

  • Royal Proclamation

    Royal Proclamation
    In 1763 the Royal Proclamation was signed. It was signed by the Britsh king to improve the standard of living of the native people. For example in it stood that the Natives should not be forced in a small piece of land. It also says how the the relationship between Britain and the Natives should be.

  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    In 1773 was the Boston Tea Party. The Natives in America threw all the important Tea in the Ocean, so that it could not be exported to Britain. This event lead to the events starting in 1775.

  • Quebec Act

    In 1774 the Quebec Act was signed. I described how the British territories should be gouvernd. It also describes how the french people in british territories should be handled.

  • The fight began

    In 1775 the fight between the 13 colonies in America and the British began. The 13 clolonies wanted to have more rights and wanted to have members in the parliaments in Britain, but the king in Britain was against it.

  • USA

    In 1781 the British surrendered the 13 colonies to the Americans. From than on the 13 colonies were their own province with their own government and it grew till now.

  • Constitutional Act

    In 1791 the constitutional Act was sogned. It describes how the differences between the British and th French in the British colonies should be handled. It was there so that the French did not start a fight because they feel oppressed.

  • War

    In 1812 was a war between Canada and America.
    Lower and Upper Canada defeated America. America wanted to have the land, that is why they started the fighting.

  • Lower Canada

    Lower Canada
    Lower Canada was ruled by the chateau clique, a rich compact. Some people, as Joseph-Louis Papineau were against them ans started to rebell. In November 1837 violence broke out in Lower Canada.

  • Upper Canada

    Upper Canada
    Upper Canada was ruled by the Family Compact. William Lyon Mackenzie wa aganist them and started relleing the, A bit later tha in Lower Canada fingting started in Upper Canada.
