A Puju ceremony takes place after everyone arrives at the base camp. It is a ritual where the gear, climbers, and Sherpas get blessed. Camp 2, acclimate
When acclimating, climbers will climb to a higher base camp in the morning and then climb back down at night. They will do this a couple times to get their body used to the different altitudes, so it is easier to breathe. This helps them to survive and to climb better, it could also help against diseases due to the altitude. -
