Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, Biles has emerged as a champion in her sport. She and her sister, Adria, were raised by their grandfather Ron and grandmother Nellie, after their mother’s struggle with substance abuse problem.

In 2003 Simone Biles and her siblings were adopted by their maternal grandparents after time in foster care due to her mother Shannon's drug addiction.

Simone Biles begins gymnastics after visiting a gym on a fieldtrip, she wowed the other gymnasts. The gym coaches contacted her grandparents asking them to sign her up for gymnastics.

Biles began competing as a level 8 gymnast in 2007, and by 2011 she had cemented her standing at the junior elite level. That year, she took the top spot in the vault and balance beam events and finished third in the all-around at the American Classic.

In 2017 Simone Biles took a break from Gymnastics and joined the T.V show: Dancing with the stars, She impressed the judges and managed to make it to the semi-finals until she was eliminated.

Simone Biles returns after taking much of 2017 off to intense training and took back her place at the top of her sport. In August 2018 she swept all four events at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships to win the competition by a whopping 6.55 points and become the first woman to claim five national all-around titles.

In January 2018 Simone Biles got on Twitter to reveal the she was one of the many young women who had been molested by former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who was sentenced to 60 years in prison for sexual assault and child pornography charges.

In August 2019, Simone Biles was stunned to find out that her brother was arrested for triple homicide charges, taking to twitter "My heart aches for everyone involved, especially for the victims and their families... There is nothing that I can say that will heal anyone's pain, but I do want to express my sincere condolences to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy."
