First time Amendment is used
Vice President Spiro Agnew, resigned as Vice President after charges of accepting bribes. Two days after Agnew's resignation, Nixon nominated Representative Gerald R. Ford as Vice President. -

Since the Amendment has been proposed it has been invoked 6 times. The disability clause has been invoked for brief periods when presidents have undergone surgery. -
