    The articles of confederation included giving power to the states, and congress. the power that was given to congress was to wage war, make peace, sign treaties, and mint (make) money.
    The power that was givin to the states was that they had the right to tax there own citizens. the sates could also enforce the laws.

    With being a the first president of a brand new nation, Washington had a lot of problems to face. the problems in the nation that he had to face were called domestic problems. some domestic problems were the whiskey rebellion, which farmers rebelled against the tax on whiskey. and the securing of the NW territory. Washington had to secure this territory from the indians that were already there and that were attacking the white settlers. Washington sent troops to attack the indians and won.
