On February 6, 2012, Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee will take place. This is a celebration for the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II ruling United Kingdom. The ones involved in this event is of course Queen Elizabeth II and UK and it is important because she has had the second-longest reign for a British monarchy. -
European Football Championship
This is a football tournament, the UEFA Champions League and it will take place from June 8 to July 1, 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. The participants for this tournament are Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Croatia, Ukraine, Sweden, France and England. In addition, it is important for all its fans and soccer lovers. -
Mexico PresidentialElection
This first of July 2012, the elections for a new president will take place in Mexico. Those involved in the election are the contenders, Mexico’s actual government and adults that are over 18 and that have their IFE. The election is important for Mexico to get the new head of state and because if it doesn’t happen then Calderon´s reign could become a dictatorship. -

In this event, athletes from around the globe compete for their country to get the golden medals, while the spectators‘ excitement encourages the athletes to win. This event is important because you can get an overall result about which country has the best athletes. -
Chris Hadfield to Space
The first of January of the year in course, the astronaut Chris Hadfield who was the first Canadian to walk in space, will be heading to space in Expedition 34/35, being the first Canadian to command the ISS and first human ever to land in Mars. The ones involved during this mission are the International Space Station (ISS), Canadian Space Agency (CSA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Chris Hadfield. -
USA Presidential Election
This sixth of November 2012, the elections for a new president will take place in United States. Those involved in the election are the candidates, US’s actual government and its people. The election is important for USA to get the new head of state and because if it doesn’t happen then Obama´s reign could become a dictatorship. -
End of The World
Supposedly, on December 21, 2012 it will be the end of the world as predicted by the Mayas. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole, passing asteroid or a planet called "Nibiru". If it does happen, it would involve all kind of living species in this planet because it would be THE END for everything and this is very important because it has caused so much of a controversy.
