A crowdfunding platform focused on creativity that allowed for small people with big ideas to be crowdfunded for their ideas. This allowed for people to receive funds for their ideas and many things have come from humble roots in Kickstarter. The founders are Perry Chen, Charles Adler, and Yancey Strickler. -
iPad
Apple’s iPad presented something new, an idea of the third category of devices, tablets This was difficult for many to process at the time. The iPad was widely mocked after its announcement, and some analysts had already predicted it would flop before it was even announced. It has sold over 300 million units. This was created by Steve Jobs. -
Siri
A voice-activated personal assistant, Siri changed the world with its virtual assistant motif. Siri could understand requests and adjust the information it received from the web by learning user tendencies and preferences much like a regular person. She could assist in many basic tasks such as GPS or weather forecast help. This was huge as of her release for the iPhone 4S as it changed the smartphone standards for all with her smart voice recognition tech. Adam Cheyer was the creator. -
Apple Watch
Again, Apple appears again. They do not often invent these products but make them accepted and loved by the public with their large reach. Building a computer into a watch form had been attempted many times but Apple incorporated a version of Apple's iOS operating system that had compatibility with iPhones and Mac Books. This started the wave of smartwatches. Jony Ive was the creator.
