    The Ring Doorbell camera was invented in 2013 by inventor Jamie Siminoff. Ring allowed people to view their front door and answer using their cellphone from the safety of their home. Ring became a huge hit and was acquired by Amazon. They paid over $1 billion in 2018.

    The Powerwall was released on April 30, 2015, with two different models at different price points. This allows people to have a back up for power and creates a safety net in case of blackouts. The use of the Powerwall is very common with Tesla's solar panels.

    SpaceX achieved the first vertical soft landing of a reusable orbital rocket stage on December 21, 2015, after sending some satellites into low Earth orbit. SpaceX now routinely recovers and reuses their first stages saving them money and helping the environment.

The main advantage of the new networks is that they will have greater bandwidth, giving higher download speeds, eventually up to 10 gigabits per second.
