    J-Phone, also known as SoftBank Mobile, released the Sharp Corporation made mobile phone, the J-SH04. it was only available in Japan, but it was Japan's first phone with the camera being back-faced and built-in. The camera had a maximum resolution of 0.11 megapixels a 256-color display; the photos could also be shared wirelessly. The development and release of this phone emphasized the diversity mobile phones had, and showed how much more phones could develop.

    Roomba is Introduced
    Rodney Brooks was the co-founder of iRobot. In 2002, iRobot Roomba was released. It was designed to help vacuum the floor without bumping into surrounding objects. Rodney Brooks was the co-founder of iRobot. The constant creation of day-to-day objects that were embedded with technology emphasized how useful technology could be if it was continuously applied outside of the internet.

    The Wii provided a new way of interacting with games. Before the Wii most video games were strictly remote control with no need for movement. The Wii required movement to be apart of the game. Once again inventions that were outside of improving the internet highlighted how technology would affect people later on in the future.
