When the USB 2.0 was released really changed the technology world. Very quickly the place to insert floppy disks and DDs was replaced with the USB port. It took longer for it to phase out even the CD port. however now you need to buy certain adapters in order to use those three things, and the adapter usually has a USB on the end. -
Apple Mac OS X
Invented by This became the primary operating system for apple mac computers since 2001. Although it was officially finalized in 2000. There were other updated versions but this was the base OS (operating system) that was used. It was finally overtaken by another operating system in 2020. -
Nintendo Wii
This was pretty huge for its time and even non-collectors to this day still search them out. This allowed you to play an array of sports games and other games, the huge difference was the exercise. you would only really be able to play this console for a little while before needing a break. -
The first iPhone
Although this device was shown to the public in January, it didn't actually go on sale until June. There were two versions for sale, a 4GB for $499. The other was an 8GB for $599. This was the biggest threat to the previous favorite phone, the blackberry. -

As trivial as it seems the iPad actually became such a critical invention. Even today the number of businesses using iPads is still rising. This tablet is able to accomplish almost an unending list of tasks for companies, from guiding presentations, to graphic design, to just daily check lists. It has become the portable desktop if the iPhone is the laptop
