    It was invented by Dov Moran and Oron Ogdan of M Systems.

    In 2003, MySpace was founded. It became a major social networking website and helped define the second wave of social networking. It was invented by Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe.

    In 2006, The Cloud and Amazon Cloud started becoming popular to use. They helped with data storage on personal as well as company computers. The Cloud was first invented by Dr. Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider in the 1960's.

    In 2008, the MacBook Air by Apple was released. It had a high capacity battery, reduced size, as well as camera and wifi capabilities. It’s traditional hard drive was replaced with a solid state disk.

  • 2009-Jaguar Supercomputer Upgrade

    In 2009, the Jaguar Supercomputer at Oak Ridge was upgraded, and now had 10 Petabytes of storage. It was used to study climate and seismology science as well as run astrophysics applications.
