This was when the settlers fought the natives. This war didn't actually last for 7 years, it also went by many other names. -
Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation tells the settlers where they can and can't settle. This also gave some land back to the natives at the same time. -
Townshend Act
This is another one of the acts put to tax the people. It taxed glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This is a lot of the goods that they used at the time. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a fight between soldiers and citizens. This also happened on the same day that the original problem got taken care of. -
Tea act
This act was made to get more money to help the east India company. This made them make a lot of money and it also helped the British. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress was for finding if what should be done. this was the leading of the states. -
Boycott
The people of the colines started to boycott goods form the British. This was bad for them because they where relying on the money from the people of the colines. -

Minutemen were a big part of the war. they were there whenever needed and were ready to fight -
The british taking over Boston
The British took over Boston to take over the imports and exports. they also already had a strong force there so it was easy to take over. -
Lexington and Concord
Lexington and Concord was the first fight of the war. this was known as the shot heard around the world and it led to the rest of the war. -
Fort Ticonderoga
Fort Ticonderoga was a big turning point for the Americans. this was there first win and this also let them have a good tactical advantage. -
Bunker Hill
The fight of Bunker Hill was one of the bloodiest fights of the war. there were a lot of deaths. It was led by Geoge Washingtien. -
Blockade
The Blockade traped good going in and out of the port. This was so there was no good going in and out so they would try and get they to surrender that way -
Guerrillas
the us stared to use Guerrillas to surprise there enemy. and take them by surprise also they where to weak to fight in the normal way back then. -
Pontiac’s War
This is the war that the natives formed alliance to fight. they would fight for their land and their territories. -
Common Sense
Common Sense was rules that the colonists had for the British that was what they thought was right and this made it so that they couldn't have much control over them. -
Nathan Hale
Nathan Hale was the first spy for the USA. He was very important for the US to see what was going on in New York because they had no way to get there. -
George Washington
George Washington was the first US general. Everyone thought he was the right one for the job and he thought so too. -
French Alliance
this is what made the US win. the French Alliance cornered the British and made them surrender. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was what ended the war. This was signed on common ground and then they were taken as there own country.
