Bill of Rights Ratififed
First 10 amendments of the constitution. -
1st Ammendment
Protects freedom of speech, religion, press, petition, and peacful protest. -
2nd Amendment
A state is allowed to keep a militia and people are allowed to keep and bear arms. -
3rd Amendment
In a time of peace no soldier is allowed to stay in a persons home without their consent. -
4th Amendment
Must have a warrant to be searched by any officer. -
5th Amdenment
Right to trial by jury. -
6th Amendment
Right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a lawyer, the right to an impartial jury, and the right to know who your accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against you. -
7th Amendment
Right to trial by jury. -
8th Amendment
No cruel and unusual punishment. -
9th Amendment
Rights not written in the constitution are reserved for the people. -
10th Amendment
Rights not prohibited to the states by the Constitution are reserved to them.
