    The Talkboy was invented by Tiger Electronics and was originally made for the movie “Home Alone 2” as a prop. It was supposed to emulate a cassette player and was sold as a toy for 7 years before being discontinued.

    Michael W. Boehm created the George Foreman Grill because he couldn’t cook a burger on both sides at the same time as any of the other indoor grills. It became one of the best-selling indoor grills on the market after George Foreman endorsed the product
  • Tamagotchi

    Tamagotchi
    Aki Maita and Akihiro Yokoi invented the tamagotchi and eventually got a Nobel Prize for economics for their invention. The Tamagotchi was created for children so that they could have the responsibilities and joys of having a pet but no real consequences.

    Kees Kornelis Antonie Schouhamer Immink invented the first portable DVD player. It was created to help the average person enjoy DVDs away from home.
  • Furby

    Furby
    Dave Hampton and Caleb Chung invented the Furby. Furbies were made to be one of the first interactive toys that responded to the action of the player instead of repeating the same actions in a specific way. It reacted to voice commands and had a made up language called “furbish”.
