A terrorist attack occurred at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. This was done by a truck bomb that leveled half of the building. There were 168 casualties, 19 of those children 9 and under. This is deemed the worst tragedy on American soil before 9/11. -

9/11 was a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York. The radical Islamic group al-Qaeda was responsible for the hijacking of 4 planes, killing almost 3,000 American citizens. This was the deadliest attack on American's homeland. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center towers, one plane crashed into the pentagon, and one in a field in Pennsylvania.
