    On April 8th, 1974 Braves legend Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run, which put him ahead of Babe Ruth as baseball’s all-time leading home run slugger. Aaron’s record-breaking home run, gave him 715 for his career, one more than Babe Ruth’s record. Hank played for the Braves. He went on to hit 755 home runs throughout his career. This is important to my topic because this helped fans and viewers around the world realize that the so called unbreakable records were very much breakable.

His 92 goals were 16 more than the previous record set in 1971, Gretzky said years later that he was disappointed he didn’t score more. This is important to my topic because this is someone shattering a record and one that still stands and is one people deem unbreakable.

This feat remains a prominent part of the team’s history and is often discussed in relation to their overall success in the NFL.This is important to my topic because this is a record that no one wants to beat which is showing the good and bads to each record.

    LeBron James broke the NBA scoring record with his 38,388th point during season 20 of his career. The Los Angeles Lakers forward scored the record-breaking basket against the Oklahoma City Thunder, overtaking a milestone that stood for nearly 39 years and was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks center. This is important to my topic because this a record that stood for a very long time and it was broken just over one year ago so it is very recent and one I can relate to.
