Treaty for the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons
The US, Great Britain, Soviet Union, and forty-five other nations sign the Treaty for the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons which agreed with other states not to assist or produce nuclear weapons. This did not take launch until 1970. -
Four Power Agreement
The Four Power Agreement was rights made between Russia, USA, Britain and France reconfirmed responsibilities of those countries with regard to Berlin. -
SALT
Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty signed between the US and USSR to agree between the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and the Interim Agreement on the Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms. -
Vietnam
North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam. The capture of Saigon by the North Vietnamese led to the whole country becoming Communist and the South Vietnamese left to surrender.
