A 13 day conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. A U2 spy plane flew over Cuba and discovers missiles. -
End of Cuban Missile Crisis
The Soviet Union agreed to remove missiles as long as the United States would remove their missiles in Turkey and leave Cuba alone. The US agreed and the conflict was over peacefully. -
