This is when Joe McCarthy, a senator from Wisconsin, use unfair investigation methods to suppress communism. Ranked: #3 I ranked it at #3 because I think this is bad when he try to investigate and suppress communism by using unfair investigation methods. Also with this unfair investigation methods it could affect innocent people. -
Emmett Till
This is happened in the summer of 1955 when Emmett Till, a 14 years old boy, who was brutally lynched after being accused to “offending” a white woman. Three days later his mutilated body was founded in the Tallahatchie River. Ranked: #1 I ranked it at #1 because think this is bad when he was being accused to “offending” a white woman by a white person because during this time most white people did not like black people, so they try to accused them for it. Also, how bad they did with his body. -
Montgomery Bus Boycott
This happened after Rosa Parks refused to get up her seat on a bus. When Black community leaders called for a boycott of the city’s bus system. Ranked: #8 I ranked it at #8 because I think it is good when the boycott was successful and Montgomery buses were desegregated. Also, after the boycott black people don't have to get up their seat on the bus anymore. -
Little Rock Nine
This is happened black students attempt to attend Little Rock Central High School, but they were blocked by a white mob. Ranked: #4 I ranked it at #4 because I think it bad when it blocked black students from enter the school and this will cause school segregation continues to happened. -
Lunch Counter Sit-Ins
Lunch Counter Sit-Ins was took place in Greensboro, NC on 1969, when local black college students sat at segregated lunch counters and they refused to leave. Ranked: #5 I ranked it at #5 because I think it is good when black college students could sit at the lunch counter after the sit-ins, but it is bad because over 150 students were arrested and start a fight between black students and white students. -
Voting Rights Act 1965
Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed by Congress after the march in Selma. This act help eliminated literacy tests as prerequisites for voting, bans any attempts to deny a citizen the right to vote, Increased black voters, and more. Ranked: #9 I ranked it at #9 because I think it is good when it helped eliminated the literacy tests, helped increased support for civil rights laws in Congress, and also helped improved black representation in government. -

The Great Society was Pres. Johnson’s plans to change the country and improve the lives of Americans. Their goals was to end poverty, reduce crime, abolish inequality, and more. This will helped the Americans society improving and everyone will have equality. -

United Farm Workers was formed by Cesar Chavez and it fights for humane working and living conditions for migrant farm hands. Ranked: #10 I ranked it at #10 because it help Mexican American Workers have better working and living conditions. It will also help reduce the death rates and the number of people get diseases because of the bad working and living conditions.
