As demonstrated by the BBC, (2004) the national milk plan was propelled, which provided a pint of milk to every child under five in schools, and mothers expecting. The governments general policy which prioritized groups like young children and mothers were not just simply qualified for milk, but also received supplies of food, fuel and clothing too. Vaccinations to fight against diphtheria and other diseases was also provided at school for children.
