The T-Shirt is introduced to America. Automobiles aer ceased because of the on-going war. -
1943
The rationing of food supplies begins. Victory gardens were reinstituted and made 40% of the vegetables eaten on the home front. -
1944
D-Day. The very first day of the Normandy Invasion. Also known as operation overlord. Famous movies during this time. The Accused. -
Fashion
Fashion is in. Mens fashion were tux, dress shirts, slacks, dress shoes, and fedoras. Womens fashion during this time were dresses, skirts, heels, and lots of fur. -
MLB
Jackie Robinson the first African American to play in the MLB. He was the first to get the honors of his kind and was a succesful baseball player. -
Invention
The microwave was inevented. This was very helpful for heating up items. -
