Italy comes into the war as apart of the Axis powers. They try to start an offensive on the British.
Germany starts an aerial attack on Great Britain. The attacks end in late october. It was dubbed the Battle of Britain
Germany, Italy, and Japan sign the Tripartite Pact forming the Axis Alliance.
In 1941, Germany and the Axis Powers attack Russia with a huge force of over four million troops.
The US Navy defeats the Japanese navy at the Battle of Midway. Happens on June 4th.
Italy surrenders to the Allies. Germany helps Mussolini to escape and set up a government in Northern Italy.
