This invention came alive due to when people were in accidents their head and neck suffered due to lack of protection. The head rest enhanced our lives by reducing the number of head injuries in car accidents. -
Lie Detector
Lie Detector created by: John Larson in 1921. The lie detector is just as it sounds its used to detect if a person is lying. John Larsons polygraph was able to measure and record a person’s respiratory rate, blood pressure, and pulse rate of the subject and recorded on smoke paper. -
Bulldozer
Bulldozer created by: James Cunning and Earl McLeod in 1923. The bulldozer is a heavy-duty machine that has a big blade attached to the front of it. The Bulldozer is used today like then at construction sites to build homes and businesses. They also were used at mines and farmlands. The were created with on-chain treads now they use rubber wheels. -
Garbage Disposal
Garbage disposal created by John Hammes in 1927. A garbage disposal crushes food waste with an instrument which allows you to not have to throw them in trash bags. This machine is helpful today because instead of throwing fruit away and attracting fruit flies you can just throw them in the disposal. -
Sunglasses
Sunglasses invented by Sam Foster in 1929. Sunglasses were created to keep the eyes from being damaged from bright lights. The sunglasses enhanced our lives by helping us be able to wear them in the summertime to keep the sun rays out. A cool part about them now is that we can also put our prescription in them.
