  • The steel strike ends.

    The steel strike of 1919 lasted 4 months. It started on September 21, 1919. It ended on January 8, 1921. It was an attempt to wake the steel industry in WWI.
  • Too much Cotton

    In April 1920 the price for cotton peaked at 42 cents per pound. It made southern farmers plant the most they have ever planted in history which made a lot more cotton than needed.
  • 19th amendment ratified

    The 19th amendment was ratified on the 18th of August 1920. It granted women the right to vote. They were previously not allowed to vote in any elections.
  • Sacco and Vanzetti were found guilty

    Sacco and Vanzetti were found guilty for murder. The murder and trial were is 1921 and they were executed on August 23, 1927.
  • World Series first radio broadcast.

    In October 1921 the World series was first broadcasted on the radio. It was between the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. The New York Giants defeated the New York Yankees 5 games to 3.
  • Yankee stadium opens

    Yankee stadium construction started in July 1922. It took 284 days to complete the construction. It opened on April 18, 1923.
  • President Hardind Dies.

    President Harding was staying at a hotel in San Fransisco. He suffered a heart attack and later died.
  • Ford makes the money

    Ford is an uproaring company. They were the first to make a car. Their total market value hit $1 billion.
  • Babe Ruth hits his 60th homerun.

    Babe Ruth hit 60 homeruns in one season. He broke the record of 59 that was held by himself. They were playing the Washington Senators and won by a score of 4-2.
