    A natural disaster off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico causing a great flood in the city of Galveston. This hurricane destroyed the lives of 6,000-8,000 people, leaving many dead and injured. A 15 feet wave crashed into the island starting the surge of the storm early in the morning of September 8.
