The first rebellion
A mexican priest named Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla lead an attack with about 80,000 poor Indians and mestizos hoping to that if they succeded, there lives would impove. The revolt failed. -
Mexico becomes independent
After the rebellion, it gave others in Mexico courage to fight back. They succeded and became independent. -
Adopting a Republican Constitution
In 1824, it adopted a republican constitution that declared rights for all Mexicans. -
Mexico's new law
Mexico banned american settlers from coming into Texas, this upset Texans and they begain to revolt. -
The Begaining of Texas's Independence
Texans gaurded a cannon that the mexican army wanted, they said' "Come and take it". The first war broke out and the texans won. This was the start of their independence. -
Texas Declares their Independence
Texas declares its independence from Mexico. The republic of Texas was born. There consitution was modeled after the U.S documents, althrough, slavery was legal. -
The loss of Alamo
200 strong Texan soldiers held Alamo under there protection for two weeks till a large Mexico army took them out the morning of March 6th. -
The Battle of San Jacinto
While Santa Anna and his army were sleeping, the Texans attacked.The battle ended quickly with the texan scoring a victory. They forced Santa Anna to sign a treaty, allowing Texas its independence. -
Texas Rangers
Texas set up the texas rangers along the border to block Mexico and Native America attacks. -
The Peace Treaty
Mexico and Texas finally sign a peace treaty ended all future wars.
