The Battle of the Alamo
The Battle of the Alamo began on February 23, 1836, ending on March 6, 1836. This battle was pivotal for Texas' Revolution. Mexico was led in by its president, General Antonio López de Santa Anna who came to defeat Texas' troops, led by James Bowie, William Travis, and Davy Crockett who protected the Alamo. Santa Anna and his troops defeated Texas and reclaimed the Alamo. -
American Civil War
The United States began their own Civil war on April 12, 1861 and ending on April 9, 1865. America fought between the Confederacy and the Union. Where the Union ended up winning. The main cause of the war was the expansion slavery. The Civil War is the most studied and written about event in United States history.
