    The Civil War

    Civil War breaks out between the Union and the Confederacy over the expansion of slavery into western states and over the preservation of the Union. The war creates more American casualties then all of America's previous wars combined. There was no official treaty to end the war. The Union would not stand for it. They surrounded the remaining Confederate troops and demanded a surrender. When the Confederacy agreed the States where forced to rejoin the Union and the conflict was ended.
