Gabriel's revolt never occurred
A slave, Gabriel, was going to try to end slavery in Virginia by attacking Richmond with 1000 other slaves, but their plan was revealed to their master by two of the slaves. They got rained out, which gave the authorities the time to gather forces to capture them. He, along with 25 others, was hung. -
