  • Beginning of the first industrial revolution (1750)

    This revolution was started in Britain, 1750. This revolution led to the increase of economic power in the United States and Japan.

  • First British settlement in Adventure bay. (1803)

    The first British settlement happened in 1803. Whaling stations operated in the bay from 1826. During the 19th and 20th century, Adventure Bay operated as a timber industry.

  • The end of the Napoleonic wars (20/11/1815)

    series of wars between Napoleonic France and shifting alliances of other European powers that produced a brief French hegemony over most of Europe.

  • End date of the age of revolution (1848)

    during the decades of economic and social transformation, western Europe also experienced massive political change.

  • The date of the shootout at Stringyback Creek (26/10/1878)

    while searching for the Kelly Gang, four policemen were camped at Stringybark Creek. The gang came upon the police camp were fired. The Kelly Gang shot three policeman dead.
