  • French and Indian War

    Indians had a lot of land along the Ohio river and the Ohio company wanted all of that land to build forts.The British got involved so the Indians went to war with them. However, the British won because the French surrendered.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war between France and Great Britain. The treaty caused the French to give up all of its territories in North America. That ended any foreign military threat to the British colonies there.
  • Stamp Act of Congress

    A petition to the King was made to remove the stamp act in 1765. The Parliament removes the act and immediately replaces it with the Declaratory Act.
  • Stamp Act

    It was the first tax directed towards American Colonies. All items that were taxed had to be stamped and violators would be tired and convicted.
  • American Revoution

    The fighting between Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts mark the beginning of the American Revolution.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Deceleration of Independence is approved in July 4 by the Continental Congress that was made up from the American Colonies.
  • George Washington

    George Washington is elected president with 69 votes from the Electoral College and takes oath of office in NewYork.
  • Bill of Rights

    The U.S Bill of Rights are ratified.
